Ad Blocking Options for Publishers

TwinRed provides publishers with tools to control the types of ads displayed on their websites. If you are seeing ads that are irrelevant, low quality, or violate your site's content policy, there are several ways to block or restrict them.

Using the Blacklist Feature

Within your TwinRed publisher dashboard, you can access blacklist settings to block specific:

  • Advertisers — Block all campaigns from a particular advertiser
  • Ad categories — Restrict entire content categories (e.g., competitors, specific verticals)
  • Landing page domains — Block ads that redirect to specific websites

To access the blacklist, navigate to your publisher account settings and look for the Ad Filtering or Blacklist section.

Reporting Problematic Ads

If you encounter a specific ad that violates guidelines, is misleading, or contains malicious content, you should report it immediately:

  1. Note the ad details (URL it redirects to, creative content, time of appearance)
  2. Contact TwinRed support via the contact page or through your account manager
  3. Provide the zone ID where the ad appeared and any screenshots if available

TwinRed's compliance team will investigate and take action against any ads that violate platform policies.

Setting Up Category Filters

If certain ad categories are consistently unsuitable for your audience, you can request category-level filtering. TwinRed supports content categorisation that allows publishers to opt out of specific verticals. Contact your account manager to discuss which categories can be filtered for your zones.

Working With Your Account Manager

For more granular control over ad quality, TwinRed's publisher account managers can help you set up custom filtering rules tailored to your site's requirements. Reach out to discuss your content policies and preferred advertiser categories to ensure the best possible ad experience for your audience.
